Mr. Suedbeck's webinar will provide participants with a general overview of the various types of treatability studies, as well as a discussion on how these studies can be used for process evaluation. Treatability studies are conducted within a laboratory to mimic conditions present within a full-scale treatment process. The studies are conducted to develop data models which can provide insights on a number of conditions and attributes of the treatment process, including the effectiveness and/or efficiency of the process, required engineering values (such as pressure, flow, temperature, mixing energy, etc.), determination of required treatment chemical dosages and/or pH values, and the chemical compatibility required to design, optimize or troubleshoot a full-scale treatment process.
TestAmerica's Treatability Research Center, located within TestAmerica ASL in Corvallis, Oregon, has more than 40 years' experience designing and conducting treatability studies. The distinguished team of Treatability Scientists in Corvallis has designed treatability studies for a broad range of clients and situations, including municipal water and wastewater treatment centers, commercial processes, site remediations, technology proof-of-concept and material compatibility studies.
Mr. Bradley Suedbeck, Treatability Scientist at TestAmerica ASL, is an Expert in the field of Treatability Studies. He is an active participant in the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and has presented on a number of topics, including a presentation entitled Bench-Scale Evaluation of Proposed Ozone-BAC Treatment Process for Singapore Woodleigh Waterworks. Mr. Suedbeck earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, with a Minor in Mathematics, at the University of Nevada-Reno.
TestAmerica's Ask the Expert program provides unmatched access to a nationally recognized panel of more than 30 experts in the environmental field. For more information on the program, or to register for the upcoming webinar, please visit http://testamericainc.com/services/webinar_series/.
