Recently, the scientific research project "A Research on the Technology of Prevention and Control of Water and Gas Outburst in the Tunnel of the Water-rich Coal Strata ", which was jointly undertaken by the Tunnel Engineering Division of the JSTI Group Transportation Planning & Design Institute and Chongqing Zhongwan Expressway Co., Ltd., passed the acceptance review.

This project relies on the engineering practice in the Longjing Tunnel of the Zhongxian - Wanzhou Expressway to carry out research. The Zhongxian - Wanzhou Expressway is an important part of the "Traffic-Smooth Chongqing" engineering project construction, and the Longjing Tunnel, as its regulatory engineering project, traverses a weak coal interlayer which is abundant in groundwater and complicated in geological conditions.
