On January 25th, the first meeting of the 12th Jiangsu CPPCC Committee was held, welcoming members from across the province. Jiangsu Committee Party Secretary, Lou Qinjian, presided over the meeting and spoke in detail about the achievements and accomplishments of the province during the last term. JSTI Vice President, Zhu Shaowei, also attended the meeting and made a speech in his position as a member of the 12th Jiangsu CPPCC Committee. 


      In the coming years, Vice President Zhu proposed a plan to eliminate potential urban safety hazards in Nanjing, whilst strengthening the comprehensive management of recycling sites for renewable resources. He also commented on the following areas:
      - Improvement of the overall operational efficiency of expressways in Jiangsu
      - improvement of pavement maintenance and management in Nanjing
      - the building of industrial technology innovation centers
      - increased support for financial policies
      - promotion of corporate reorganization and restructuring
      - cultivation of multinational corporations with international competitiveness
