JSTI ∣ “Emergency Environmental Plan” Given Full Support

      Zhenjiang Bureau of Transport recently held a review meeting for the implementation of an urgent environmental protection plan to help curb water pollution caused by freight ships. The plan in question was designed and delivered by a subsidiary of JSTI Group, Jiangsu Energy Tech Development. The plan highlighted the detrimental effects that ships were causing to the waterways in Zhenjiang and proposed a number of measures to help combat the negative consequences of this heavily used shipping route. Deputy Director Xia Jun of the Zhenjiang Bureau of Transport along with representatives from the Emergency Management Office, the Environmental Protection Bureau, the Maritime Safety Administration, the Housing Construction Bureau of Zhenjiang attended the meeting.


     Participating experts at the meeting unanimously agreed upon the passing and implementation of the proposal, noting that the plan clarified the shared responsibilities of relevant departments whilst simultaneously identifying workable solutions and procedures to address the challenge. The proposed establishment of a joint supervision and information sharing platform and joint law enforcement mechanism contributed to the panel recognizing the project as comprehensive and workable.
