2018-03-06
In 2017, Jiangsu’s Department of Transportation launched the selection process to identify leading employees in the transportation industry. After a long selection process and much deliberation on candidates, Liang Bo of Guangdong Regional Center of JSTI Testing and Research Institute was recognized as a leading example for all employees due to his outstanding achievements and contributions in the industry.
Liang Bo, who joined JSTI in 2002, started his career as a testing technician. After the accumulation of more than a decade of work experience, he grew into a management role within JSTI Group. For several years, Liang Bo led his testing team to focus on the "safety guards" and quality control of every project. As a result, projects undertaken by him were repeatedly recognized within the industry as leading examples. Among them, the 12.5m Deep Waterway Construction of several sections on Yangtze River, a project on which Liang Bo was Project Manager, was rated as a “pioneering project” by the Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions.
Liang Bo has undertaken a number of province-level and municipal-level scientific research projects and above, with a number of scientific research achievements identified as the top level at home or above. He also owns a total of 5 patents, including 2 invention patents and 3 patents for utility models. As the technical leader of the structure detection of JSTI Group, Liang Bo innovatively introduced the international advanced technology —— side-scan sonar technology. After thorough research and exploration, this technology was applied to the Project of 12.5m Deep Waterway Construction of the Sections of Yangtze River below the Nanjing Section. This project was the largest and most technologically complex waterway project for inland waterway transportation in China since the “12th Five-Year Plan” and also a key project for implementing the requirements of the "One-Belt and One-Road" initiative and building the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Yangtze Golden Waterway.
