JSTI | Focus on Talent Cultivation and Brighten the Future with Ideals —HIT Granted "JSTI Bridge Health Monitoring and Inspection Scholarship"
On March 9, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) held the ceremony to grant the “JSTI Bridge Health Monitoring and Inspection Scholarship”. Director Zhang Yufeng of the State Key Laboratory on Safety and Health of In-service Long-span Bridges of JSTI Group granted the Bridge Health Monitoring and Inspection Scholarship to two doctoral students and three master graduate students. Director of the International Association for Structural Control and Monitoring (IASCM), Prof. Li Hui and Prof. Bao Yuequan of the HIT School of Civil Engineering, also attended the grant ceremony among other experts.

JSTI Group set up a scholarship at HIT to promote the cultivation of talents specialized in civil engineering science and technology in China, encourage them to study hard, forge ahead, and endeavor to innovate. At the same time, it also aims to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between schools and enterprises to jointly provide a guarantee for the better development of the bridge health monitoring and inspection. The scholarship was established in 2015 to award excellent graduate students of the HIT Center of Structural Monitoring & Control (SMC) specialized in structural health monitoring and inspection of bridges. It is granted to two doctoral students and three master graduate students each year, and one doctoral student will be sponsored for international academic exchanges. By now 23 students have obtained the scholarship.
