The Project "A Study on the Technologies of Prevention and Control of Safety Risks in Road Transport of Dangerous Goods" was a Sinopec Group project undertaken by the Safety Center of the Testing and Research Institute, which spawned a number of research results. Through the investigation and study of the status quo, JSTI Project Group analyzed the existing problems of Sinopec in the transport of dangerous goods and made the "A Investigation Report on Safety Management of Road Transport of Dangerous Goods by Sinopec"; conducted research on the technologies of prevention and control of safety risks according to laws, regulations and standards, and prepared the "Work Requirements for the Safety of Road Transport of Dangerous Goods by Sinopec" (Hereinafter referred to as the "Requirements"), "A Checklist for the Safety of Sinopec’s Road Transport of Dangerous Goods " and "An Identification Handbook and Assessment Guide for Safety Risks in Road Transport of Dangerous Goods" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guide"); prepared the "A Report on Sinopec’s Application of Technologies of Prevention and Control of Safety Risks in Road Transport of Dangerous Goods" through the demonstrative application of typical enterprises and third-party logistics service providers. The "Requirements" was the first handbook on the work requirements for the safety of road transport of dangerous goods in the domestic petrochemical industry, and the "Guide" was also the first guide for identification and assessment of safety risks in the domestic petrochemical industry.
The expert group believed that the research content of the project was comprehensive and had achieved expected results, which laid a good foundation for prevention and control of safety risks in Sinopec’s road transport of dangerous goods. Therefore, all experts unanimously agreed that the project passed review.
