JSTI|EPTISA got “the most successful project” prize

Recently, EPTISA got “the most successful project” prize for the “Consultant” category under the “Water Management Awards Programme”, awarded in recognition to the outstanding management of “Technical Assistance and Supervision for Ceyhan Wastewater and Stormwater Project”, which was implemented between 2012-2017 through funds allocated to Turkey by European Commission.

EPTISA carried out the Project Management and construction supervision following the FIDIC Conditions of Contract, and provided technical assistance and capacity building services. The project is under the scope of the Environment Operational Programme - Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) for the Regional Development Component in Turkey and is co-financed by the EU and the Turkish Republic Government. The overall investment value for the project is 22 Million Euros.

The objectives of the project are provide technical assistance for administrative, financial and technical capacity building of Ceyhan Municipality and the modernisation of the Water Utility Department to improve the planning of projects, the financial and operational performance for water/wastewater services. EPTISA supervised the 1st phase of the construction works of the waste water treatment plant and replacement of the existing collector, and the construction of storm water drainage network for the existing area.
The beneficiaries of the project are the Ceyhan Municipality, the authority for waste water treatment plant and the other infrastructure investments in the area. The Contracting Authority for the project is the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation EU Investments Department.
