Recently, Luis Villarroya, former CEO of EPTISA and Chairman of Techniberia, was elected with a majority of votes as a member of the Executive Committee of Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) at the FIDIC International Infrastructure Conference 2019 in Mexico.
Established by associations for consulting engineers of Belgium, France and Switzerland in Ghent, Belgium, FIDIC has developed into the most authoritative organization for consulting engineers worldwide with the recognition of the World Bank. Boasting a host of affiliated professional committees, FIDIC has formulated many management standards and contract texts for construction projects, which have been universally recognized and widely adopted by United Nation organizations, international financial organizations such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well as many countries.
With extensive experience in engineering consulting, Luis Villarroya has been a member of the board of directors of Techniberia for more than a decade and is also a member of Pan-American Federation of Consultants (FEPAC). EPTISA has long committed itself to engineering consulting, providing owners and contractors with a broad range of contract management and full-process consulting services related to FIDIC terms.
Luis Villarroya said that he is proud to be a member of FIDIC. He also said that, faced with the challenges posed by a range of new technologies in the future, he will focus on improving the influence of the engineering consulting industry in society and strengthening its interaction with all walks of life.
