JSTI|EPTISA Provides Consulting Services for Georgia

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia awarded a new contract to EPTISA to provide consulting services for supervision of civil works to be implemented under the Third Regional Development Project (RDP III).

The main objective of this Third Regional Development Project for Georgia is to improve infrastructure services and institutional capacity to support increased contribution of tourism in the local economy of the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions.

This awarded contract, which is funded by the World Bank, is aimed to supervise the contracts of construction and rehabilitation works in these two regions, acting EPTISA as the Project Manager on behalf of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia during 36 months. It includes a variety of works, such as restoration of buildings and cultural heritage monuments and sights, touristic infrastructure, as well as municipal water and wastewater systems, lighting, local roads and utility services:

Rehabilitation of access road to Zedazeni Monastery
Adaptation of the Mtskheta old cinema building for establishment of the Mtskheta archaeological museum
Urban regeneration of historical streets in Dusheti 
Restoration of Stepantsminda Museum Complex (Phase 2)
Arrangement of tourism infrastructure at Gudauri Ski Resort
Rehabilitation of Bakuriani-Tsikhisjvari road (7.5 km.)
Rehabilitation of Abastumani Historical Wooden Houses
Rehabilitation of Abastumani Observatory
Arrangement of Tourist Infrastructure and Urgent Restoration Works for Zarzma Monastery
Restoration and Adaptation of Borjomi Cavalry Building as a Museum
Tourism Infrastructure Development at Bakuriani Resort Recreation Park
