Eptisa president Luis Villarroya chaired the ceremony and noted in his speech that, Eptisa, founded in 1956, is Spain's oldest engineering design enterprise, and has, by upholding the spirit of innovation, introduced many new technologies to Spain and serve the customers. In addition, Eptisa has, since 1960s, started to expand global market, and extended its business to over 40 countries and regions around the globe, with the business beyond Spain accounting for nearly 80% of its total. JSTI Group, as a transnational engineering design enterprise, highly accords with Eptisa in terms of principles, values, and organizational structure, and has no obvious cultural difference as anticipated. Therefore, JSTI Group totally matches Eptisa's vision of the future, and the incorporation of the two is expected to bring greater values for each other.
Mr. Wang Junhua, CEO of JSTI Group, said in the speech that, it was a good start to hold the delivery ceremony at theprestigious Bernabéu football field. JSTI Group is specialized in providing both domestic and overseas customers in infrastructural construction and operation with integrated solutions on engineering technologies and environmental governance. As China's first engineering consulting enterprise getting listed in the A-share market, JSTI Group is honored with State-level innovative enterprise by the ministries and commissions of China, and has owned two State-level laboratories and a number of ministerial and provincial key laboratories and technology centers. It has been ranked among ENR “Top 150 Global Engineering Design Firms” for three years in a row, ranking the 98th in 2016. Eptisa has built good reputation in Asia, Africa, South America, and East Europe, and has finished its layout in markets along the “Belt and Road” initiated by Chinese Government. The marriage of the two this time will be a big event in the world engineering design circle, and both parties are expected to make a due contribution to the future development of the world's infrastructure.
Mr. Huang Yazhong, Charge d'Affaires ad interim of China to Spain, noted that both companies have been ranked on the list of US ENR, and their cooperation can be said to be win-win cooperation. He pointed out that the cooperation this time is a typical example of globalized development of Chinese enterprises, and also an embodiment of China's escalated opening-up and the conviction of globalized operation of Chinese enterprises with the growth of Chinese investment worldwide. He underlined that China has, since its staging of “Belt and Road” policy, signed MOU or agreements with more than 30 countries on co-building “Belt and Road”. As the terminal point of westward extension line of China's ancient Silk Road, Spain is an important participant of the “Belt and Road”, and the cooperation this time is expected to bring new breakthrough to the field of overseas engineering construction.
Mr. Manuel Valencia, ambassador of Spain to China, who specially came from Beijing, said in the statement, that the two enterprises should utilize advantages in capital and technology in future cooperation to focus on expanding markets of third world countries. At present, Chinese Government is attached much importance to environmental governance, and Eptisa has rich experience in the field and can provide JSTI Group with pragmatic technical guidance. He hoped that both parties will, in the future cooperation, learn from each other's excellent management mechanism to reach the goal of win-win results, and jointly make the promising development blueprint.
With the formal landing of Spain Eptisa project, JSTI Group's strategic path of building one-stop solutions on infrastructure and public services focusing on planning consulting, comprehensive test, environmental protection and energy conservation, PPP business, smart city, and other businesses will become much clearer. In the future, it will continue to take advantage of “Belt and Road” strategy to accelerate the Group's globalized layout. (Su Xuan)
